Whether you want to play a rock groove, walking bass line, improvise a jazz solo or write your own song, if you practice, you will get better!
I will show you what you need to do based on your unique background, interests and learning style. Also I will show you, more importantly how to practice to gain the skills you desire. We all need a solid foundation. Expand your foundation in bass playing while playing the music that you love!
My experience as a teacher over the years has shown me more than ever before how personal a musical path really is. I have taken great care to respect my students personal path and to help them feel as comfortable as possible while reaching their music goals.
Over time, my student grows into who they are as an artist and moves to a point where they no longer need my knowledge and support. Then I begin the whole process all over again. It is truly a pleasure and honor for me.

Alison has taught at numerous schools including Berklee College Of Music’s Bass Workshop with bassist, educator, Victor Wooten. Alison received her B.M from Berklee College of Music and her M.M from Boston University.
